SPECIAL SATELLITE BROADCAST ON 16 JANUARY 2000
A totally unique event, prepared under the creative direction of Maharaji, will be televised to Europe on Sunday, January 16, 2000 at 5.pm GMT. This first broadcast of the new century features original music and footage, which Maharaji has been working on for the past several weeks.
This broadcast is intended for people who have received Knowledge, people preparing for Knowledge, and interested people, but is not intended as an introduction. It will be received via satellite at most major centres in the UK. For details of your nearest venue please phone your local information line or ask at your local information desk.
This is a special broadcast and has cost a lot of money to prepare and to broadcast around the globe. To cover these costs, there will be an admission charge of £20 per person, with the opportunity to pre-register at local events before the broadcast, or at the broadcast itself. This amount is intended to cover our expenses including local hall costs and VAT.
It is imperative that this amount per person is paid in order for future broadcasts to be possible. However, this is not a strict condition for access, as a reduced payment will be acceptable if you are unemployed. To allow for this to happen we do request that those able to do so make an additional donation over and above the £20 charge. On this occasion there will NOT be a video produced for later screening so we do encourage everyone to make the effort to attend what will undoubtedly be a most inspiring and enjoyable satellite broadcast, specially prepared by Maharaji himself. In future, there will be regular transmissions of broadcasts by Maharaji. The intention is that about 40 of these will occur during the year 2000, starting slowly but building up to weekly broadcasts. They may be watched in your own home or at events, and it is envisaged that there will be a payment of £25 per viewer per month plus VAT, plus a contribution to local hall costs for events. The equipment to receive the signal at home can be purchased at reduced prices from Spectrum Ltd (0208 651 5030).
Videos will still be available for the purpose of introducing Knowledge and preparing to receive Knowledge, and we are happy to announce that it will soon be possible for people to prepare for Knowledge on a postal basis entirely at home, if they wish.
